Eldad Tal-Shir
I’m a PhD candidate in the Decision Sciences department at INSEAD. I study the mental representations people use to make sense of the world, and I build methods to make these representations visible. Two questions drive my work: (1) Which features of language drive behavior (such as the words that make a risky choice more or less enticing)? and (2) How do differences in the way people organize knowledge shape judgments (for instance, when do people’s mental representations diverge enough to reach different conclusions)?
To answer these questions, I use a mix of behavioral experiments and computational methods with particular emphasis on natural language processing, deep learning, and explainable AI. You can read more about my projects on the Research page.
